Blogging with AI

My blog is now powered by a brand new setup, and I’ve started posting again after nearly 5 years of silence. Looking back at my old tech notes, it feels like I haven’t written much — but that’s not really true. On the technical side, I’ve built up a lot of expertise in distributed systems and machine learning infrastructure. I just never had the time to document any of it.

I have been posting weekly memos about my life for years, but those are in Chinese. I want to keep that workflow fast and frictionless, so I moved them to a separate site where I can post anytime, anywhere from my phone. For this blog, I want to write something more formal — or at least more thoughtful.

What has always held me back is that I’m not a native English speaker. I overthink grammar and vocabulary, and that friction alone is enough to kill any motivation to publish. But recently, something clicked. I realized that AI can help me summarize the things I’ve worked on and turn rough ideas into readable posts. Is that cheating? Maybe. But it’s better than producing nothing at all. And honestly, just knowing that AI can clean up my English makes me feel a lot more comfortable putting my thoughts out there.

So here’s to writing more — starting today.
